Today we were forced to make a very difficult and sad decision. In view of the fact that there is what locals label as the most ice in over 15 years we decide to give up our quest to explore any more of the shore of Labrador. Although we are surrounded by some of the best wonders of nature we jointly conclude that we all do not feel it is safe to continue north. The skipper must admit that it was not without tears in his eyes that he came to this conclusion, as much planning, effort, expense, and expectation went into this trip.
So tomorrow we will turn south and return to Newfoundland where we will go east-about the Rock.
